She sits in the library studying. I stare at her. In my mind we’re on the savannah and I’m a lion about to pounce on that good looking gazelle. She catches my eyes. For a moment we are one….. and then she shakes her head and tells me to leave her alone. My friend Nick sits next to me and pounds my fist claiming that I am “so in.” I gingerly get up, casually flexing my below average sized biceps( I have watched the infomercial for P90x 30 times) and circle the library 13 times before I slowly walk over. She’s reading her European history text book, and says “what do you want.” I had meant to say “hello,” but I accidentally shriek,” I love you!” She stares at me with those golden ruby eyes and my heart melts. In those eyes I could see my past, my present, and my future. Her lips begin moving, and sweet words begin to form. My ears focus sharply on the beautiful angel-like chorus that would soon gracefully exit the goddess. “Leave me alone.” Silly, you can’t tell a lion not to hunt. See what happens next edition!
