- Lincoln – November 16th – Daniel Day-Lewis stars as the titular character in this intricate portrayal of the last three months of Abraham Lincoln’s life as well as the passage of the Thirteenth Amendment that abolishes slavery and the end of The Civil War. Steven Spielberg (E.T., Indiana Jones) does a fantastic job directing and Tony Kushner (Munich) provides us with another amazing script. The large supporting cast is fantastic, especially Tommy Lee Jones as Radical Thaddeus Stevens and Sally Field as Mary Todd Lincoln. As Ms. Gordon put it, “It was so historically accurate and Daniel Day-Lewis’ performance made this a must see.”

After surviving a boat crash, Pi Patel (Suraj Sharma) is left stranded on a lifeboat with a tiger, a hyena, a zebra, and an orangutan. He is forced to survive on his wits and beliefs. Ms. Schottland says, “A Must See! This film is visually stunning and true to the novel! 4 Stars!”
[youtube mZEZ35Fhvuc] - Silver Linings Playbook – November 21st – Winner of the People’s Choice Award at the Toronto Film festival, comes a film about Pat Solitano (Bradley Cooper), who after spending eight months in a mental institution and moving back in with his parents, develops an unexpected relationship with widow Tiffany Maxwell (Jennifer Lawrence). From director David O. Russell (The Fighter), this film delivers great performances and will be a major Oscar contender.
[youtube Lj5_FhLaaQQ] - The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey – December 14th – The newest installment from the Academy Award winning Lord of the Rings series by Peter Jackson follows Bilbo Baggins on an epic quest to reclaim the Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was conquered by the dragon Smaug. On his journey, he meets Gollum, who gives him possession of the infamous ring. Also reprising his Academy Award nominated role is Ian McKellen as Gandalf the Great.

Zero Dark Thirty has a strong ensemble cast of Jessica Chastain, Joel Edgerton, Chris Pratt, Kyle Chandler and many others.

This film chronicles their fears of reaching 40 as they continue to fight their way through marriage. Expect many laughs from Apatow’s script as well as from the strong supporting cast of Albert Brooks, Jason Segel, Megan Fox, and Melissa McCarthy.

Look out for Leonardo Dicaprio’s fantastic performance as the charming but ruthless plantation owner Calvin Candie.

It tells the story of Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman), a former prisoner who becomes mayor and takes care of Cosette (Samantha Barks), the illegitimate daughter of factory worker Fantine (Anne Hathaway), while trying to avoid being captured again by Inspector Javert (Russell Crowe), Look for strong performances and breathtaking musical numbers.
