Tech Booth (n): A place that is ostensibly boring but actually holds parties on a weekly basis.
Example:
Timothy: Hey, why do you have a beach towel?
Nicole: I’m heading to the tech booth! You coming?

Silent Zone Infraction (n): the act of breaking a rule that is actually inconsequential.
Example:
Sandy: I just killed a man.
Brock: That’s such a silent zone infraction. I killed a man yesterday … without any milk.

Storage Unit for One’s Personal Belongings (n): something that has not been used since 2003.
Example:
Tina: Do you want to watch a movie on my VCR player?
Nicolas: Don’t you have a DVD player? VCR is so storage unit for one’s belongings.

TOK (v): using hypothetical and obscure language to confuse your peers in academic battles.
Example:
Darrel: In my opinion, dissident emotional discourse often leads to subversive dialect.
Dwight: Man, I don’t even know what you just said. That was too TOK.

Skybox (n): a place where best friends go when in the middle of emotional fights.
Example:
Holly: I can’t believe you said that!
Pecan: Ugh! Can we talk about this in the skybox?

Bridge (n): an excuse to get out of any sticky situation.
Example:
Brett: Hey, can you help me with my math homework?
Sasha: Uh, I have bridge.
Brett: It’s Saturday …

Distance Learning Days (noun): a 21st century form of torture.
Synonym: Bonus Period
Example:
Oscar: Did you hear what Morocco is doing with the POWs?
Dandy: Aren’t they putting them through distance learning days? It’s horrible.
