After the first few days of school, many students lament that ‘it feels like summer never happened’. But three months of memories should not wash away in classes, assessments, and busy schedules as soon as we step through the doors of 91 South Orange Avenue. We should keep our fun summer moments in our minds to help us through moments of stress. Furthermore, what we do during the summer does not become irrelevant when school starts up. Many students partake in immersion programs or personal trips all around the country and the world. During the summer, we gather adventures and gain inspiration. Some of us collect unique experiences and wisdom that add value to our school community. Even if summer already feels distant, the Feature Section does not want to overlook important events that happened between June and September, or leave the Newark Academy students’ and faculty’s summer escapades unrecognized. Click on the links below for a variety of articles, columns, and BuzzFeeds, and be sure to browse our interactive map that includes every student’s remarkable summer travels!
