Teachers Try Snapchat

by Victoria Molinari ’17 and Olivia Cubbage ’17, Staff Writers

Nowadays, anywhere you go you can see people taking “selfies.” Selfie, as defined by Urban Dictionary, is “a ridiculous practice of narcissism,” where one or more people bunch together and snap a photo of themselves, hence the word selfie. Now I’m sure we’re all familiar with Snapchat. The photo sent disappears just a few seconds after being opened, and gives the sender a false sense of security. Well, it’s all fun and games until someone takes a screenshot. Since this trend is so popular amongst the students, we [Olivia and Tori] went around Newark Academy to see if the teachers would give it a go…. And the results? They’re worth seeing.
