With Apple’s iPhone event in September, Apple’s WWDC 2017 in June, and Google’s event, (Google I/O) in October, the two rival companies are trying to launch the latest and greatest electronic devices in order to get the title of the best consumer electronics company.
Recently, each company released a set of new smartphones, Apple announced the iPhone X and 8/8+ in September, while Google released the PIxel 2 and Pixel 2 XL in October. Both phones are high end and up to date, including being water resistant and having no headphone jacks, causing them to both have a price tag to go along with it. The Pixel 2 XL and the iPhone X are the most comparable phones, since they both feature slim “bezels” or the black lines around your screen, and both have the best features compared to the other phones on the market.
Apple says that the iPhone X has the fastest chip (A11 Bionic) ever put in a phone. Which is true, but with the second fastest speeds on a smartphone in world, the Google Pixel 2 XL is very comparable to the the iPhone X. In addition, the Google Pixel 2 has more ram With the larger screen on the iPhone X, it is expected that the iPhone X, with only 3GB of RAM,( while the Pixel has 4 GB) will constantly crash. Also, the battery life of the iPhone X is expected to be much less than the PIxel, partly because the battery is physically smaller, and its high power Super AMOLED display requires a significant amount of battery. Just because the iPhone X has a nice screen, doesn’t make it good. Looks like Google wins statistics wise, but of course it’s based on your opinion and the iPhone X’s results when it comes out*.
