Michael Kay was a NA alumni who came to talk to us as a Global Speaker. One that we will all remember due to his humor and knowledge. He was a Green Beret that worked in Iraq with a special team to help a village. After interviewing ten students, we learned about their experience with Michael Kay as a global speaker.
Many of the the interviewees thought that Mr. Kay was very interesting and a good speaking. He got us hooked at the beginning especially with the Navy Seal vs. Green Beret images. Others also said that he was brave and informative. One interviewee even said that he respected Mr. Kay because he was a soldier, which just shows how patriotic NA is. All the interviewees rated Mr. Kay 7 or higher. Most people thought he was a good global speaker and a person that we all enjoyed. Also, many people believed that we should have more people that are alumni come to be global speakers. This can show how Newark Academy will benefit us after we graduate.
Finally, many people learned different things from this speaker. Some people learned how NA will benefit us in the future while others learned about military life and operations. Some interviewees learned about American patriotism and our military agencies. One person even learned that the army is not just shooting people but also befriending people.
Mr. Kay was a great representation of American patriotism and showed true NA quality. Not only did he make the NA community feel proud, but also showed American spirit.
