Saying that going back to school is difficult would be a wild understatement. However, the only thing more difficult than going back to school is getting used to doing homework again. After a long day of hard classes and sports, looking at the Canvas calendar makes even the most dedicated student want to quit school. For me, the only thing that can help  in completing my homework efficiently and making it less miserable is great music. Here are some music suggestions from me and some friends from  different genres and artists to help homework be more bearable.

  1. “Tear in my Heart”- Twenty-One Pilots
  2. “Fever”- The Black Keys
  3. “Under the Bridge”- Red Hot Chili Peppers

Pop

  2. “Sunday Candy”- Donnie Trumpet and the Social Experiment
  3. “Final Song”- MO
  4. “Hymn for the Weekend (Seeb Remix)”- Coldplay, Seeb

  1. “Power”- Kanye West
  2. “No Problem”- Chance the Rapper

Calm

“I always like calmer music, like jazz or The Beatles. And I’ve been listening to a lot of Alabama Shakes.”- Ben Leit ‘18

  1. “Hey, Jude”- The Beatles
  2. “Hold On”- Alabama Shakes
  3. “Self Control”- Frank Ocean

I hope this helped you create a new back-to-school playlist or to push through and finish your history essay before 1 AM. Happy studying!
